I needed a way to attach the tree to the wall. I decided that the best way to do this, while doing as little damage to the wall as possible, was to use ropes. To make a solid attachment point on the tree for the ropes I glued some wood blocks between a couple layers of the foam and drilled holes through the blocks. In the bottom right portion of the picture is a notch in the base of the canopy that will allow me to thread the ropes through to an attachment point. More on this later.
